I currently have a sick chicken (I made a separate post about this). I just remembered another piece of information.

On the first day I noticed my chicken was unwell (July 1st).

I noticed that both of her eyes were cloudy. I caged her overnight and by morning her eyes had cleared up. Everything else, however, has been straight downhill.

Any idea what could have caused this? I'm putting this out there in case this clue might reveal what the heck is wrong with this lady.

I will post a video in the comments.

It won't let me post the video. It says it is the wrong file type?

Here is a screenshot.

It looks like cataracts, which can be a common cause of blindness in chickens. They can be caused by high ammonia levels in the coop which burn the eyes, by infection, vitamin A or E deficiency, and having a disease called avian encephalomyelitis as a chick. Mareks eyes usually look much different than that in pictures I have seen.
