And then what would I use that for? Like an ice cream topping type thing?

Its apple sauce

I eat it as a pancake topping, or as a snack on the side with olives and cheese.

Oh. Duh. I read "chopped" and didn't realize what you meant. I obviously have never made apple sauce, lol. I don't really care for apple sauce, that's the only thing.

Another great idea! I wonder how hard that is to make...... I'll have to do some internet searching on that one.

If you don't like them sweetened, look for savoury recipes and do both. Applejack brandy.... yum.

My grandmother used to make pickled, spiced peaches, not very sweet, more like tangy. Perhaps something like that? And YES to the dehydrator, good healthy fruit snacks all winter.

whew! after you get done with all those recipes, if any are bad or extra, if your chickens are like mine, they will LOVE them!
I slice them in 1/2 for them, and they will have a pecking party until there's nothing left but skin and core!

I don't either, thats why I make this. Its nothing like the commercial stuff.
Make sure to leave the skins on if you try making a bit of it.

I love those. But I don't normally use lemon juice, unless I am doing a ton at a time. Also plain is great and with honey. They don't last long around here, five pounds will be gone in a day or so.

The great thing is, you don't filter the pulp out right away so you don't always have to get it as pure as cider

At least that's how somebody I know who's sister's brother's girlfriends best friend does it.
