yes so my broody chicken hatched out two eggs out of 5 (two were rotten, one wasn't even fertile so pretty much 100% hatch rate)
and i was just wondering what i can do?
vitamins, home supplements to make them strong?
last time she hatched out chicks , they all died, i don't want that to happen again! [IMG]

I have had broodies raise several groups of chicks. I've got 5 chicks in the coop under a mama now, about 2 weeks old. Do you have any idea what they died of?

They really don't need anything but a starter feed, water and a safe place to grow up. How many died? Is it possible it was just bad luck, a couple of chicks with a genetic defect? A predator? Tell us more.

Personally, I prefer a starter feed that is medicated with amprolium. It helps them build an immunity to the cocci in the soil. But then I have no idea whether you even have cocci there.
