I know how you feel, it's awful. When I look at my chickens and Penny (the one inside) isn't there it just seems odd. I know she's here in the house but if she didn't make it, I would be extremely upset. these are my pets, my babies. People say, it's just a chicken to which I say well, her life is valuable too. She is more than just a chicken.

I see you're in Australia! my dream place to go, it looks beautiful and I love the accents

Hi everyone one, I'm finally back on here and moved on from the loss of my darling daffodil. And yes schnebbles I live in Australia. I want to thank you all who comforted me through the time of my loss. I hope to do a lot more posting to make up for the time i wasn't on here.

hi - good to see you back! I lost the one in my post here and 3 more since....devastating. Mine have mareks. It took me 2 losses to know for sure. I spend a lot of time on the mareks thread here. Really, really depressing. I'm down to 4 from 8, plus the one I mentioned who died from shipping stress I think. My experience since spring with chickens has been awful. I love them all so much and it's so sad.

Be glad you don't have that horrible disease in your flock b/c it just keeps stealing your precious birds.

I'm so sorry, I can see why you are so focused on telling other people so they don't experience the same thing, i understand completely!
