What can I do?

Okay my tablet is being glitchy and it won't let me post a regular thread.

My hen who has the chick started laying again last week and this is the first time I've been home during the day and I felt her bum and an egg is ready to be passed, but she won't go in the nesting box. Should I bring her inside and help her pass it or leave her be? The chick is 5 weeks old.

I'd just leave her alone. She'll take care of business herself. Just watch her to see if she has troubles...then try and help. Seems she's done this before, she'll do it again.

X2 I would just let her be and do her thing. She will know what to do with her egg. Pretty soon she will start laying again on a regular basis and push her baby away so she can go on about her life.

I would watch her..make sure she has laid it within a couple of days. Don't want her to get egg bound. Hopefully she will get back to the nest. Can you put her in the nest at night..or is she already there? Hopefully she will lay it soon.
