Following this post because I’m in the same boat, wondering what kind of treats I can feed them!So i got some flock raiser for my ducklings. But i was wondering, is there any kind of insect i can feed them?
You won't have any greens left! But the bugs will be gone!Coffee cup 3/4 full of frozen peas and water. A minute or so in the microwave. Let it sit another five minutes before starting a pea riot. they love mealworms but it makes their poop smell worse. Occasionally cut strawberries, watermelon, greens, grapes. I like to feed variety when it comes to treats. I have tender greens in the garden and they are being hit by bugs. My delima is do I let in the ducks to take care of the bugs and chance the ducks eating the greens?
Every duck I've met goes crazy for mealworms! TSC also has dried crickets which mine liked but since they were really big, I had to break each cricket into smaller pieces (I love my ducks, but I'm never doing that again).
That sounds like fun. Never thought to do that because it’s kinda like bread but I suppose it won’t hurt every once in a whileEvery duck I've met goes crazy for mealworms! ETA: If there is one treat to try, let it be spaghetti. My ducks and chicks absolutely love it. It's hilarious watching the little puff balls run for their lives with a piece of spaghetti in their mouths all while being chased by their siblings![]()
