what can i give my chickens to get them to lay more eggs

i have 30 some hens and yesterday i got 7 egggs. the most since a long time ago. there not molting. two of the roosters are in a cage ( the two that mate the most )we have 9 roos but the others dont mate very much. it is hot but is cooling down so im just wondering if theres a special kind of food to give them or put more roos in a cage just in case they are mating and i dont know it.? please help. i dont know what to do.

Layena and a little bit of crushed oystershell in the layena.

Thats what i use...Purina Layena...everytime I go check for eggs, there are some there.

I also give them treats daily. They get scratch each morning and evening also.

thank you very much. purina layena purina layena. i think i rememered it. now i just have to go and get some. i give mine birdseed but i was told not too because it makes there bady temperature go up. but if you say you feed your scrath grain i guess i will start feeding mine birdseed adain. thanks everyone for your help. cole w.
 
You didn't say how old your hens are and what you are currently feeding. I personally wouldn't have 9 (or even 7) roosters with 30 hens, just not a good percentage. One or two would be sufficient.

Any good layer mash or pellets should have enough protein. I use a local one. Birdseed and scratch doesn't make their body temperature go up, but they may eat it over other feed, so should be used sparingly.
