Alas... I have come to my senses...

I am not going to get quail or even chicken eggs. That would be silly.

BUUTTTT... I do have extra space at the moment, having just completed my new run...... so I wouldn't turn it down if I were able to locate local duck eggs... I think I'm going to stay focused on ducks for at least this season, and get really good at it before trying other things. Besides, I'm already set up for ducks.

So, the incubator is shut down for now.

But maybe I'll crank it up again before next Spring officially arrives...

Amazingly, more eggs arrived in the mail for me yesterday. How did they get there? I have no idea. Maybe I'm buying eggs in my sleep?



Oh well, I guess there's nothing to do but set them.

Apparently I have started pleading for my chicken's lives in my sleep... according to DH, when he came to bed last night, I started pleading with him, saying, "But I love them, I LOVE my chickens, please do not kill them." He thought it was hilarious - he loves them lots and lots as well!

I remember none of this. Perhaps he is lying. But hey, if I talk in my sleep about them now, perhaps he will fall for me buying eggs in my sleep?

OMG I have done it now - I wired and plugged in the antique bator and it's holding temps at 99.5 -100.2 and well those 15 eggs look really lost in a bator that holds hundreds..... what have I done???
