hey, what can i put in my chicks and ducklings water for them to not drown?

i havent got marbels

what else can i put in the water ?

I've used my kids legos.... they work.

I have washed pebbles and put them in, anything that they can't pick up will do I suppose.

For the fist few days I just used a really shallow dish, till I could buy some marbles. Then I purchased a proper waterer.
