Well ended up finding sweet PDZ after looking for about a week for ANY of them. I wanted to try that one anyway and just lucked out that it was the one I found, I put down a good amount under there perches in the shavings !!! HOPE IT WORKS !!!! Will add some extra every 3-5 days.
Is it ok if they peck around on the floor with that stuff down ????
That is my only concern about using things in the coop, I asked the feed store guy if they sell a lot of it and he said yes but mostly for horse stalls so couldnt tell me if it was ok for chickens to peck around in !!!
As far as dropping boards go in my coop it would be very hard to put them in with the way the perch is set up, Plus hubby told me NO MORE BUILDING till spring (hes sick of me asking) It does sound like a great idea, I had them in my last coop and they did help !!! Maybe this spring I will ask hubby to put some in for me !! He told me it was time to start thinking about the baby on the way (10 weeks) and not the chickens, LOL !!!! Thanks for all the help !!!
