What can I use for my roo's neck?

I have a big cochin roo. My old roo had pecked his neck feathers off a bit, and now the girls are pecking the back of his neck so badly it is always red and irritated. I have tried putting rooster booster, pine tar and blue kote on his neck (not all at the same time), nothing deters them, and it's getting worse.

Any suggestions for what I could use to cover his neck with? I tried taping duct tape to the back of his neck, but it wouldn't stick on his feathers. Should I wrap something around his neck? The injury is up real close his head.

I appreciate any suggestions.

Do you have any medical gauze handy?

You could try using that to bandage his neck and hold it in place with medical tape or duct tape.
