I thought my hatch went pretty well till I pulled this guy out for a look & he had no eye a very bad scissor beak :( . I had 21 ( 10 shipped & 11 from a local source this guy came from the local eggs ) in the incubator 14 ( 8 local 6 of the shipped) hatched without issue I eggtopsied the rest & no one had issues like this guy . Any ideas what could have caused it ? I've had crooked feet before but he's my first with issues this bad .

This is so ironic, one of my friends had the exact same problem with one of her chicks. Because it was unlikely that it would survive, she put it down.

Scissors beak is usually caused by a certain genetic case.

Thanks genetic is the answer I got on another page as well . This guy will be put down later I just dont have the heart to do it so it has to wait till my husband comes home . :(

I get what you mean. My friend gassed hers right in front of me. It was very sad.
