We have a similar dilemma! A BO and BR, both almost 22 weeks, 4 eggs so far.I would guess Buff Orpington because mine lays very similar eggs.
Beautiful eggs!! Ours wound up being from our Buff Orpington. The very next day I saw her hop right into the box and sure enough laid a twin egg. Good luck finding your chicken!!We have a similar dilemma! A BO and BR, both almost 22 weeks, 4 eggs so far.
2 are a warm golden-tan, one is a pinkish tan, and the fourth in between. Pretty much the same shape. But I don’t put a ton of faith in color and shape (and size) of eggs in the first few weeks.
I am now stalking the coop to see who goes in when, and then checking the nest box. I feel like a complete perv.
We just had our weekly frittata to clear out the eggs, but here’s a pic from 3 days ago. (The Easter Egger started two weeks ago and is laying daily.)
