What chickens can eat and what they cant

Does anyone know if or when they should be wormed and what is safe to worm them with. Also how often should I worm them? Thanks a bunch

DE will deworm any mammal. Just mix a little in with their feed. Make sure its the food grade DE though.Some feeds already have it mixed in to prevent the feed bags from getting infested with insects. Not sure of the ratio to use, but its harmless so you cant really do too much. I use about a teaspoon mixed in my dogs food serving every so often as a dewormer and it works amazingly well. Guessing for a chickens something like a 1/2-1 cup of DE mixed into a 50lbs bag of feed would be plenty.

I have not used this on chickens yet, so others may have some more input for you.

Can chickens eat broadleaf dock and plantains,chicory,and dandelions?

In a lawn, they will eat only these (and clover), and start on the grass only after the broad leafs are gone. They love these greens, though I have no dock and do not know about it. But the rest is high quality chicken food.

I know chickens eat corn in just about every way,but I was wondering if they can eat it on the cob,uncooked,right off the stalk? I had been feeding my chickens cracked corn and after we had moved their coop,corn started growing! Anyway,once it has actual corn,I wanted to feed them it,since they did help Is it ok?

Yes just take off the stalk and expose the corn. Mine clean the corn off the husk.

Yes,, they can eat them cooked or raw,,,,, the only green peal they should not eat is green potato peals,,, potato peals turn green when exposed to the sun and form a toxin which can be deadly,, even to humans in large enough amounts. I'm pretty sure though that if one or 2 slip into your diet or your chickens,, it isn't going to kill you flat out,, anyway,, I'm not dead yet and have eaten a few on the green side in my life.
Also,, another note while on the subject of potatoes,,, if you are going to feed them to chickens,, either just the peals or the whole potato,, they must be cooked first.. Chickens can not digest raw potato.
