What chickens make up your flock?

hello! your flock is definitely admirable! super cool. just wondering where you get your birds from... I assume you breed some, but are there others that you get from an outside place? do you recommend shipping birds? im new to this and i would love to get healthy birds but im not sure what the best way is. The nearest chicken farm that i found online is 9 hours away... :/

I got my Silkies from both a hatchery, & Breeder.

Sumatras are from Meyer's Hatchery.

Heritage Plymouth Barred Rocks are from Meyer's

Orpingtons I got from a hatchery

The Red JungleFowl hybrids I got from a sketchy dude for free at an Animal Swap.

Yes, I do breed my own birds. I have breeding projects, & I also breed silkies.

I'm planning to get NPIP Certified so I can ship birds, & eggs out of state, but the NPIP people never got back to me. I contacted them 3yrs ago. My mom contacted them about 4 weeks ago, & also never got a reply.

What birds are you looking for? I'm currently looking for homes for some Bantams.
