Ive had these two girls for a few years and i didn't know there were different color variations like pied, camo, white, ect ect. What would they call these girls?

Look out Wolrep, looks like you have a girl and a young guy there.
They've got green in them, but I'll leave it to someone who knows to chime in about that.

I am having trouble seeing detail in the pictures on the phone. If they are girls, the first would have to be fairly high percentage Spaulding but that looks like a boy!.

The second is certainly a girl and looks India blue but I see some peachy colored breast that could be indicative of possibly bronze or other dark color. She could also be spalding with all that neck color.

Somebody using a regular computer that can see the pictures more clearly will weigh in soon.

The first looks like a spaulding black shoulder cause I had one that looked like him, yes he's male. Have you ever seen him display? The second pic looks like a spaulding IB hen.

Alright, I am on the computer. That first bird is either a 100% green hen or a spalding male. If it is really 2+ years old and has not produced any longer tail feathers you probably have one very nice green hen. But that back sure looks boyish to me. Someone with more pure green experience will have to confirm.

In the first picture what kind of bird is in the background? I'm thinking turkey, but I never seen a turkey - well only when they run across my yard but they are running LOL

thanks for the replys everyone. They are deff both females and both lay eggs. no male for them yet but i am working on it. I beleave they are 4 -5 years old. as for my turkey its a female albino ocala turkey. i have a lot of birds and i will get them posted over time all over this site.

How long do peacocks live?

Ok I did some research. The hen in the first photo is a Indo-chinese Green peahen. Here's the link: http://peacockgirl.tripod.com/Peafowl_Variet/IC_Greenx.html
All the other peahen are brown. Check under "spaulding" for the other hen.

wow very cool thanks yoda. Hopfully i can find a tru indo-chinese green male. Would i be able to breed her with a india blue do u think or will i have to breed her with a I-C green? I am just asking so i can get an idea what way i need to go. I will have some different kinds of chicks coming soon.
