What color are these Silkie Chicks?

The yellowing could be coming from the recessive white gene, most white silkies of pet quality have the recessive white.

Aren't white silkies usually recessive white irrespective of whether pet or exhibition stock?

I believe they are.

I thought the dominant white gene was found usually in higher quality stock, such as show birds. But I feel I should read more on this now. Isn't dominant white and recessive gray = silver? (the "silver" gene). Please, correct me if I am wrong.

Virtually all white silkies are recessive white. Dominant white is possibly, but definitely unusual. The yellow probably is an indicator that the bird carries gold (s).

There is no grey gene. Silver is a dominant gene; its recessive allele is gold.

Grey silkies are silver multiple laced partridge, from a genetics standpoint; white is not part of the equation.

Woah, I hope you don't mind if I PM you later with questions. I have a hodgepodge of genetics here I am trying to sort through. Thanks in advance, you seem quite knowledgeable!
