I do, wouldn't ever sell them, actually had plans to get 3-4 new colors next year too. However my son has a huge interest in the Marans chickens he is hatching to raise. So I made the choice to sell off my breeders to make room for his new chickens and breeding program.

Making a mom sacrifice to support my sons interest. Plus he is an advanced science major and does a live animal research project each year. Nothing like encouraging the mind of a 13 year old who has a GPA of 3.834.
 
I do agree with this during breeding season. Currently in an acre pasture we have 20 calls, 16 Muscovys, Harlequins, Cayugas, Chinese geese, and Africans all running together as a conditioning area. None of the birds fight or hurt eachother but everything is seperated as of January...
