What color eggs do muscovy ducks lay?

42 days never heard of that.

Honestly. I was really worried that they wouldn't hatch. The duck that was hatching them was attacked by a fox, while she was sitting. I was worried that she would give up on the eggs. 42 days

were they all brooded at the same time or did other girls add eggs to her nest? That is a long time, but I know they will wait until that last egg hatches if there's a baby in there, lol.

I've had some not hatch for nearly 40 days as well. I think mom was goofing off a little more than she should have.

They where all brooded at the same time, the only other bird using her nest was a chicken. All the eggs hatched over two days.

I dont know how true this is but I think muscovys lay between white, tan, or gray eggs. Some of my girls have white eggs and one has like a tan color.

All of ours have been either white or a tannish color....1 of ours has gone broody twice in two months....the other is sitting on 19 eggs...16 of hers and 3 chicken eggs....only half of hers are fertile though

I was replying to one previous comment where you said their eggs are bigger than ALL chicken eggs, I beg to differ one of my chickens (Isa Brown) just a normal chicken lays eggs weighing a massive 102-3 grms and that's on a regular basis they are normally 95-6 grams but getting bigger and that's double to normal chicken egg sizes.
We just acquired to Muscovy ducklings and that's why I was enquiring about the colour of their eggs.

beige colored and slick and shiny compared to chickens eggs. Once you have the 2 to compare you'll noticed the difference right away.
