What color is my silkie chick going to be???

Oh ok! I wondered what she would look like with normal feathers

So is this a blue based bird of a black based?

With silver leaking and not a silver partridge?

I am not an expert. I wonder if all of partridge birds must hatch with chipmunk.

if birchen it is not leaking but pattern.

if chick dawn was blue then it is blue based.

That was what I was wondering as well! If they must hatch with chipmunk.

No I think you were looking at the right bird I looked silver birchen up in silkie and that is exactly what she looks like.

She was black I believe, but some blue's can be really dark so hard to tell. Guess I'll just have to test breed

ok then. her butt and shank feathers look blue, at least on this pic. my black silkies are charcoal black all over and my blue pullet looks black with grey underfluff.

Can anyone tell what color she is yet? I am starting to think she is just a normal blue but I can't tell if it is the fuzzy picture or if she has something suspicious on her wing. Also, one of our silkies that we thought was pitch black is turning out to be black with a silver neck! What is that color called?
