Here is one picture...trying to get the other two I have to upload but it's being crabby! So what do you think? ALL blue? Or ALL black? Asher do you have more chance for blues or blacks in your pens?
They're sooo cute!!! Ohhhh! I generally try to look at the fluff around the legs, etc. to try to figure out coloring b/c the rest of the body is tricky for me. I think the front two are blues, but I could very well be wrong. Not positive on the back two. I hope they're all blues for you, though.
I honestly don't know what the odds are, I think more blacks, but it really depends on how...er...active my blue cockerel is. I have a black roo, 5 black hens, a blue cockerel and three black pullets. I know at least one of the pullets are laying and I know the cockerel is breeding.
I added the new pics. I may have gone just a *tad* bit overboard on the amount of pictures.

Just love the blue color. Cant wait till I can get a blue one someday. Right now our babies are from black parents. They have barred in thier background though. Cant wait to seee how my little ones turn out.

We have a really neat (read: odd) girl in our flock, but she's purely for eye candy and eating eggs. She's a standard girl born from a blue mama and barred boy. Just lovely. We've gotten offered $ for her every time people come to buy birds, but my son says NO WAY. hehe Everywhere except her head is blue with the most mutest barring and then her head has the more barred look.

Well...don't get rid of any for a while. Mine are late bloomers. Some kept me guessing on colors for months, seriously. I think I have almost all black in the brooder right now, but I wouldn't be a penny on that thought. And then they truly do not get their full grown adult body and fluff until around a year, I think. You can see my blues in the pics look kind of puny next to the blacks. They'll (the blues) be a year old in September. I cannot wait to see what that cockerel looks like when he's mature.
I really need to think of names for them. DS named all of the blacks, but I told him I got to name the blues and I cannot think of names that I think are grand enough for them.
I really want to name the cockerel Indygo b/c we had a gorgeous blue cockerel named Indigo once that we got rid of due to an attitude problem (not the lineage of any of these guys), but I hate to use the same name twice, even if spelled different. hehe We've not had attitude problems with any of these, thankfully. If anything, they're too friendly. The minute they see me come to the barn, they all excitedly run to the door, I open it and they come barreling out like basketballs with feet thinking it's graze in the yard time (which we do when we can be out there, but certainly not every time I need to check for eggs! hehe). I'm just waiting to see one of them go head over tea kettle one of these days from waddling so fast out the door.
