What a pretty chicken!!!

It isn't blue Wheaten, that's for sure.

I'd say it is a blue columbian. (with of course some gold and something else in there)

She looks a lot like my "lemon blue" Araucana cockerel, who is a golden duckwing with blue, Columbian, and melanizers

Blue Wheatens have a mahogany colored neck are aren't so pale looking.

Heather, she's beautiful! What are our options as to her sire and dam?
Do you have both Blue and Buff Columbians? Blue would dilute the black, but I'm not sure if it dilutes buff. (It normally doesn't dilute gold or red/mahogany.) I think Lav dilutes both black and gold - any chance you've got a Lavender?

Quote:
Since Buff Columbians are not actually "buff," but just golden columbians, no, blue does not dilute them. However, it does dilute true Buff. Lavender does indeed dilute gold to an "Isabel" color, but remember that it is recessive.

I need some of those Cochins. I will not sleep tonight.

Illia what is the hen next to the Araucana? He's beautiful too, you and Lanae are going to make me get some if I keep reading on here.
