What color is this D'Uccle??

I don't know. I'm new at breeding D'Uccles. The roo is a really dark Millie, so I thought the chicks would be darker. The hens are not as dark as he is, though. And, as I said, there are Mille Fleur and Self Blue hens with him. This is not a great pic of him, but here he is.

I could be wrong, but he looks to have a little mix in him himself, breast is awful black? Maybe has a little black mottle in him too?

Just pondering something here... the really light colored serama X millie chick in my picture is feathering in similar to your millies in color. Her mom is a black mottled bird and your roo has a lot of black - wondering if that has anything to do with them being *light*? I guess only time will tell as they feather in.
