What Color is this Silkie Chick?

u can breed it back to its father but u never want to breed brother and sister, u also never want to inbreed to much or deformities do pop up. after a few breedings u need to add new blood lines

from what i understand you can breed them back to the parents but not brother and sister
 
ITS A BLUE SILKIE
blue is a 2 toned coloration...this silkie is a solid light blue all over which would make it lavender

Thank you all for all of the replies! :) I will keep this chick, and breed it back to its father (if it is a pullet, of course). Is this chick considered a split? If I bred it to a lavender rooster, I would only get lavender chicks?

i think it was just a mess up in the Splash gene since it was a splash bred to splash. U could always experiment and see what u get. Idk if it is considered a split lol

I believe you can tell lavender by the color of the feather shaft. I think it's dark purple on the under side. If you post these photos on the silkie thread someone will be able to tell you for sure. :)
