When you're working on a genetic project involving lavender, the F1s don't look like the finished product. My Fi Lavender/Wheaten Ameraucanas look like Brown Red Ameraucanas... but they're NOT Brown Red Ameraucanas. The next generation will theoretically give me a few offspring with isabel type coloring.

Hmmmm.... maybe you should wait & cross her with a cockerel that has the same genetic background.

Well said. I get people all the time saying the my F1 birds are not what I say. But then in the F2 gen, when they breed them, they come back with nothing but compliments. I would call the pullet a Lavender Partridge, which when bred back to Lav or Buff should give you Porcelain. Good luck with your breeding.

The color on her wings is the color you get on the f1 porcelain cocks, that sort of look Splash except with Lavender undercolor.

Great! I was hoping that I would get some Isabel/Porcelain when she is bred back to lavender. I haven't had any Cockerels this color, they have all been pullets.

Brody, I really like that boy!! She does have some of his coloring.

I would love to have him, but that would mean my DH would have to build another pen and I think he might strangle me

He is having to build another pen right now for the paints he just bought me, and building me a brooder, hatcher and an incubator. I better no push him too far this week anyway, lol.
