What color is this Silkie? Roo picture added.

So let me get this right. With this roo if the female is grey her female chicks will also be grey and the males black? Almost like a silkie sex link!

I have one like your boy only he has the buff lacing so I guess he has the buff gene. I have bred him to my blacks and so far all chicks have came out coal black and feather in coal black.

He does look a lot like my Joe. It is funny how out of 12 chicks we have hatched only two have been black. Mothers were either black on grey.

He is most likely a dark Partridge. I had a hen like that but never had the chance to breed her... Very pretty though

I'll have to get some new pictures of him. He was about 6-7 months old in that picture but he is older now and looks alot different.
