What color is this?

We got this sweet little Cochin today. What color is this considered. Does it have a name? Is it Mille Fleur? Calico? Or maybe both?

Looks like a calico. I don’t think it’s an official color but here’s a pic I found online

The mottling may become more or less pronounced as it grows. For now, I’m guessing calico, but if the mottling lessens, then it’d be a mille fleur.

Agree its what would be called Calico.
I've never seen a mottled bird molt into less mottling.
Most always they get more white. I've had older birds end up pretty much solid white a few times.

It’s a thing that can happen with aloha chickens. It is less common than them getting whiter.

Oh ya? How come? Do you know where they got their mottling from or why that happens with that breed?

I’m not sure why. It’s what I’ve read about them. The original source of the heavy mottling was a hen of unknown origin bred with speckled sussex and exchequer leghorn. It doesn’t talk about it here, but you can see from the pictures that the chicks have more mottling than the adults https://www.backyardchickens.com/reviews/aloha-chickens.11541/gallery.
