There is some faint chocolate that shows through on his breast but it didn't show on the picture. Probably would have shown better if I took it in the shad. I was just in a hurry today (like every other day)

You can just barely see a tiny bit of 'tan' hue to him. It's kind of like my Scovy girls..they look self blue but have a faint brownish tint & lacing to their feathers.

Its a pet quality blue bibbed call. Blues vary with the intensity of the blue coloring some being lighter blue and others darker. The "chocolate" tone is common in blue birds and is often easily seen in birds that are close to molt. We have raised Anconas for years and many of our best blue drakes developed this brown tinge the closer it got to time to molt. When the molted the feathers came back in blue.
