What color of paint for inside of coop?

The inside of the coop has exposed OSB ( or plywood? ) and I was wanting to paint the floors and walls in hopes to make it last longer. Though, I don’t know if it matters much, but what color of waterproofing paint would work the best or does it matter? White, grey, black or brown? Some other color?

If it's dark in the coop you might want a lighter paint.

I'm fond of barn paint because it's meant to be applied directly to rough, unprimed wood. That reduces your color choices severely though.

It doesn’t get too dark because they have 3 windows, so I should probably get a darker paint? I could definitely do barn paint, though. I don’t know if I want the coop to be red inside, though. Lol

White, available in barn paint, Home Depot might have more choices. Whatever color you choose, imagine it splattered with poop & covered in a layer of dust. Nothing looks nice covered in poop & dust, but at least white is bright :) Then you can white wash it with lime as needed. Another option I've seen discussed here is waterproof rubber coatings, like Black Jack #57.

for my coop I would go with a light color. I have some vents and the pop door that let light in but I do not have any glass windows that allow direct light in. Of course my coop is small and raised up so it is not designed for human occupancy. They spend zero time in the hen house during the summer... even in a hard thunder storm they stay outside in the covered run... wondering what they will do this winter on super cold days... will they stay outside or take refuge in the henhouse.

If I had a walk in coop I would definately want a lighter color as I prefer spaces that are well brightly lit.

I wonder what the chickens would tell me if they could

I went with white. I like colors to look as true as possible, and color on the walls would have added a color cast. I also wanted to make the interior as light looking as possible. I used exterior latex paint and did 3 coats.
