I found on the internet they should be white. I thought they were not laying yet until I got 4 brown eggs one day, then the next, and I only have 2 silkie hens aside from the point of lay polish hens. The polish I figure are laying are White crested Blacks, though I have one buff laced who may start as well (the other buff laced is my sickly one, I doubt she will lay) thought that buff laced is a bit "off" too.

So are these polish suppose to be laying brown eggs?? They are a beautiful creamy light brown, a shade lighter than the silkies, very nice and tasty, but are these pure polish then? They came from Meyer Hatchery.

Ideas? Polish owners?

Our 2 Buffs lay WHITE eggs. So,

about your light brown eggs.

VERY STRANGE?? I can't imagine the silkies are super layers, and they never leave the floor, and I always find one egg in the up high nesting box where one WCB has been hanging out. I am SO confused! We are talking white, like store-bought eggs?

I have black white crested polish, blue polish and gold laced polish hen they all lay a medium white egg. My polish are not that old so I assume the eggs will get alittle larger in time but theyare white just like you buy in the stores.
