What color?

Here is a picture of the peafowl that has adopted us. Any idea what type of peafowl he is?? Still not sure where he goes @ night but pretty sure it is somewhere on our property. My husband and I think the reason he sticks around is because we have chickens??

Thanx but how can you tell the age by looking at the pic? Just curious??

He was probably born in spring/summer 2011. In their first year Ib black shoulder peacocks still have lots of white/grey in their wings. as they get closer to their second birthday they have lost 80-90% of the white/grey. They lose the last 10-20% over the next two years.
