This is a unique male I would like to know what is collectively called by button enthusiast. My photo came out a bit dark cause I did it after work and in true color he is more reddish than this photo. He is marked as a female Red Breasted is however the main color is a light cream and the tipping is a cinnamon red. He has a "golden bib" as I have seen it reffered to on ebay. Very striking bird except for his head injury from another male before I realized this ird was actually a male because of the odd bibbing.

I don't have one. It was to dark to picture him in the cage as the sun was going down fast... I'll have to try another I guess.

I agree with citalk2much, I to think it is a hen since it dosen't have the white ring that all males have in the buttons that I have seen.

I have buttons and all of my males have the white ring even one of mine that is almost black it still has a white ring from ear to ear under the neck line.

Love to see a full picture as well.

It's silver plus something. Could be a female carrying red breasted or a male with cinnamon. I did think female when I first looked at it. Females can have a line at their throat. It's a bit different from the white bib the males have but pretty much all of mine have some marking whether male or female. Most of mine are also carrying red breasted which really shows off the bib markings and red chest feathers on the males. The dark blue faces are the exception and neither my males or females have throat markings.

I have a few like her. I think it's a hen (but I've been known to be wrong). I get babies like this when my cinn. splash hens cross with my red breasted males. Pretty!
