What colour will the chick be? Closest answer gets a drawing of their chicken!!

Sorry for the late response - here they are!! The older chick is now over 5 weeks old and the younger one is about 4.5. I’m beginning to consider their sex - hoping for two hens but I can’t be sure! They’ve got some lovely colours coming through, the older one has an almost cream-legbar look about it! I’ll hopefully upload those wee drawings tonignt btw x

They are absolutely beautiful! And at their age, they do both look like pullets to me. Fingers crossed!

looks like these 2 have some mottling which is cool parents mustve both had a reccesive mottling gene somewhere that a few of the babies in herited

Here’s a (roughly) 9 week update! I’m beginning to see some lovely buff colours come through on the younger one now. It’s making me wonder if the actual mother of these chicks was a buff Orpington and not a light Sussex hen. Sex wise I’m leaning more towards pullet now. Any opinions?
