We got three new pullets 5 days ago. They are allegedly Isa x Australorp x Leghorn mix, about 16 weeks old.
This one’s poo is suspicious. Initially they were more reddish/orange but I didn’t get a photo. The zoomed in photos show what I’m worried might be signs of Coccidiotis, or something worse..?
She otherwise seems healthy, is eating and drinking and seems alert and happy. I thought perhaps she was having difficulty digesting seed as there seemed a lot of undigested seed in the poo, so I moved them back onto a pullet starter crumble a couple of days ago, and I started them on an Amprolium based coccidiotis treatment yesterday. The other two chickens are completely fine and their poo is normal.
This chicken is already my kiddos favourite and the white one he especially requested and picked out
