Zero. None. Nada. And if I ever do, they can keep the food AND the car, the birds and I are outa here! The worst we have are coyotes. Someone's trail cam caught a bear flipping his coop completely over. That's terrifying. I'm glad your sons are staying at your house. Be wary of answering questions about when you're leaving, how long will you be gone, etc. on social media.

Not stupid, just surprising. Bears can open carnival like they're tin cans.

I'm grateful it didn't go through a window, actually.

Gotta figure out where I live, first. Very rural. Very steep. Very unpaved. My boys are very large. Very capable. Very armed. But, yes. Always good advice

Update:
No one/nothing has returned. I'm still in Scotland for a few more days, but the boys report that all is normal so far. The bait on the fence is still intact, too, so I guess that means nothing's visited or they can sense the electric current and steered clear.

I'm mostly glad I went. Traveling with the hubby isn't always easy, and I'm getting homesick.
