What did you all do about your dissaproving DH?

True; but I guess I always thought of sex as something mutual; not something a wife does for her husband to get what she should have gotten in the first place.

its best I stay single if that is how it works.

Think of it more like getting someone to their happy place in order to begin your discussion or negotiation. Negotiations are always easier when your appetite is sated (whatever that hunger may be) and your attitude is amicable.
 
My husband started my chicken obsession, so he can't say much. Of course I have a lot more out there now than he planned to have.

When he commented negatively about them, I mentioned all the land out in the country that my parents own where I can move WITH my chickens and he shut up. Of course, he knows I'm not going anywhere and said so, but it made him realize how much I love my chickens. Plus, if I go his beloved dogs go with me too!

Well I want my husband to be happy so I support him in whatever he wants to do and he in turn does the same for me. He is starting to like the chickens a little bit as well, lol.. He went up to find me this morning and was amazed at how fast they grow. It had been about a month since he had been up there and looked at the chicks that are now 9 weeks old. He knows how much my animals mean to me and loves me for it. It is part of who I am and he respects me as I do him.
Like someone said earlier, no marriage is same. We all go about things differently, the trick is figuring out what works in your relationship. I am stubborn, very independant and I take care of my animals by myself so hubby doesn't mind if I have them. He does get frustrated when we go out of town and I worry about them though, lol. He surprised me just a couple of days ago by hiring a welder to come put a roof on my run. I didn't ask him to do it, he just knew I wanted a roof on it and was trying to figure out how to put one on.
He wanted an aquarium and I help him take care of it and care for the fish daily. I don't mind, we do things together.
We have a great relationship, but I think I must say that NO relationship is perfect and everyone will have problems/fights sometimes. It is all about how you work it out. Ok, that is more than 2 cents worth so I am done.. lol. I hope you and your hubby can work it out.

I have actually been married -twice - lived with someone - twice - and it's always the same thing- they want to control me and I am not having it.

I have my own house and I would never have a roommate, but if I took on a boarder - possible in this economy - I sure would not let them tell me how to live my life in my own home.
