What did you do in the garden today?

I also dislike peat pots. The roots get bound up in them and have a lot of trouble breaking through. I'm OK with dealing with some mold issues in exchange for a "plantable pot" but you still have to break these pots up and that means tearing up the roots that were trying to break through them.
That's why I like the newspaper pots. They break down much easier and the roots just pop right through the thin newspaper layers. You can plant them directly because by the time they've spent 4-12 weeks with seedlings in them they're already starting to break down a little from the water applied to them. And they still add carbon into the soil.

I spent time watering a bunch of my seedlings today. My plants are all growing pretty well. My anaheims and cayennes are sprouting, the jalapenos are still lagging behind, but they always do. The sweet chocolate peppers are also popping up well. The basil transplants are doing OK, a little bit of fungus spotting on some leaves.

see these are the ones in the flat add water to make them grow those darn
things you buy a plant in never break down I agree hate them but asked the BF he
said we only did it last week

My "go to" seedling mix is Pr0-Mix with microrhizae
