What did you do in the garden today?

It got up to 93 degrees here yesterday. I really hope it didn't cook the seeds I'm trying to germinate.

I called the county extension office about our apple trees not coming out of dormancy the guy said if they went dormant late they will bud late
And that they won't blossom in time to start producing.
So they are basically worthless.

I also I am watering. We had the never ending winter than one week of rain and now about a week and a half where it’s been in the upper 80s and low 90s and extremely dry. It’s like we’re getting all seasons within a few weeks. As I was watering I noticed holes in my bush beans leaves. It has been a lot of years since I planted bush beans but I don’t ever remember having a pest problem . Anyone familiar with that?

Could it be slugs? I know they'll tear up pepper plants, but not sure about beans.

I'm having the same problem. No slug trails anywhere, though. The pepper plants, too. I do have a lot of ants and roly-polies in my garden, and I suppose it could be grasshoppers because I've seen them around the garden.

No definitely no slugs. Though I Did just find a note my daughter left me before she went to school in about a couple Different things. One of those is she said she noticed a small cluster of small gold colored eggs under the leaf for my beans. Different things. Love the randomness of auto correct! Kind of like talking with my 16 y.o. grandson. The egg clusters on the underside of bean leaves... I've not had that issue, but dd a google for Mexican bean beatle:

If the holes in the leaves are small and round, your culprit may be flea beetle.
