What did you do in the garden today?

A bunch of my plants are finally starting to really come up. My beans are really taking off and I saw the first bits of the flint corn I interplanted with the peas starting to poke out of the ground. I accidentally planted more corn in the space I had designated for them than I meant to. The rows of radishes are just starting to get their first true leaves and the peas look great.
I have an important wedding to go to soon for an old friend and that's my trigger to get off my rear and get my tomatoes and peppers and squash in the ground. After her wedding, everything must get planted. It'll be permanently warm and I want those roots to grow! We still have a few nights left in the mid 40's this week and then they should be gone for good. Before her wedding, everything but the hot weather plants need to get into the ground. I still have dozens of transplants to make.
This tuesday my city's garden club is having a meeting with a plant swap and I think I'll attend with all my spare transplants and see if anyone has anything interesting.

Planted pre-sprouted pole bean seeds, then covered them with clear plastic. Getting tired of moving plants in and out of the mini green house units. But, they are hardening off nicely. I have about 14 tomato plants in the ground, under plastic. Need to give them some epsom salt and fertilizer to perk them up. Sweet peppers in green house unit are putting out some nice fat buds. I can't tell the Jalapeno from the mini bells, so will have to plant them all!

Very cold and windy tonight. Lows expected to be 42* tonight, but our actual is running 4* lower than what Accuweather says. Tomorrow night expected to be 32*, so, I may bring the flats of tender plants inside. Oh joy. The only thing worse than lugging seedlings back and forth is doing so with chicks!!

Ok. Garden sprayed! Also got one of the raised beds done today. We replaced the railroad ties with natural logs. The logs won't last long, but my husband worries about the chemicals that RR ties are treated with. We have a whole other raised bed to do, but hubby will have to fell a tree for that one. Luckily, we have a mulberry that needs to come down.

The irises are looking good! Today i planted potatoes and onions. Still lots to put in the ground. Need to break more soil.

I believe beanBeatles are also my culprit. I’ve been checking al around and under the leaves and I can’t find any actual bugs. With soap spray do I spray the plant to kill them or do have to get the bug itself? It’s gonBug be hard to get them cause I can’t find them. They apparently work quick. The beans sprouted Saturday and their already chomping away!
