What did you do in the garden today?

Covered the tomato tunnels and individual plants with sheets and buckets. Moved all the potted seedlings into the garage. I expect a killing frost tonight.

Wow. Your trying to protect from freezing and I’m trying to prevent overheating on my leafy greens. Like different sides of the world but we’re not. Your a strong person. I couldn’t do all that cold. I’m miserable when it’s below 40

Hi everyone
Looks like you've all been busy. It's been a crazy week here but I finally got out to do more than water today.

I got a peek at the grapes today, thyme is in bloom and there are lemons all over the tree. As you can see, the girls are wonderful helpers with the compost pile. There's a not so great pic of the squash plant but it has several flowers on it. Didn't get pics of the melons but both are growing like crazy and have lots of flowers. We have our first tomato
I've had to close the shade due to heat so I need to fix the light situation for my indoor garden ASAP. I'm in negotiations with the labor union as we speak

And, I am absolutely miserable when it's hot. Anything over 72, and I'm overheated.

I am going to try to root some small green cuttings from my grape vine, blueberry and elderberry plants. I mixed some potting soil with peat moss and sand.

My first crop on Carmine Jewel bush cherry . Pie or sour cherry .

My potatoes are starting to get tall so today I did some piling.

I also added some chicken wire to the old rabbit run in prep for the chickens arriving in two weeks. They wouldn't be able to get out, but a sly predator would have been able to stick a paw through, and ex-batts are kind of daft.
