Watered the garden and found that one of the slicing tomatoes has that first blush of red coming on

Yum. Now I’m just hungry. I love BLT. With an extra thick slice of tomato and sometimes I add an over easy egg. Sounds weird and messy. It is messy but so delicious

Drooling over here. Now I know what I'm going to have for dinner! With a slice of sharp cheddar and a slice or two of avocado.

So I was out doing a thorough weeding on the peppers when I noticed a cauliflower got eaten down. Again. And the kale too. So our groundhog problem might not be resolved yet. Not too surprising, the groundhog we got was a smaller one - probably one of multiple youngsters who don't know that our yard is dangerous yet. (The mom groundhog knows.) This time it's trickier, though, they're coming in from the same side of the lawn that the garden is on - the side that can't be seen from the house. We're gonna have to do major work to stop that from happening. I'll be thinking on it for a while.

I remember when I was a kid my mother always told me if you were wearing your food it was a good meal. LOL. It’s true the best food is usually the messiest food

My yellow squash is going nuts. I’ve never had them produce so great. Picked my first too but then I found three very small ones two of them or black at the blossom and in one of them was black at this time end. Don’t know what’s up with that maybe all the rain we’ve had. Other than that looking great

Too cold to work in the yard today. We have a nice cozy wood fire going tonight.
