What did you do in the garden today?

I finally found my veg*n main dish recipe for Yule using my winter squash I grew. :) I found a recipe for vegan pie crust made with coconut oil and I'm going to make a pie filled with the squashes, cashews, kale and mushrooms. :)

Pretty excited to have that all sorted out!

That sounds delicious! Let us know how it comes out will you?

Gotta run, cleaning again. Enjoy your day!

My lettuces are doing pretty well! I’ve got over 152 of them.

How long does it take for Round up to fade from my soil? I have a plot of really rich black dirt that got turned into a deer food plot against my desires. Round up was applied liberally and soybeans, beets and other crops have been in it for 3 years. I would love to maybe turn it into an organic garden plot with melons, squashes, and tomatoes. I’m a strictly organic gardener, except the rare instance when I may be forced to use Sevin on my pumpkins because of the wretched squash bugs and evil cucumber beetles.
Of course, I also may use it for my riding arena, haven’t made up my mind.

I think rule of thumb is 7 years there are documents relating to that like organic gardening .com there was a magazine I use to get they went online with the birth of internet cannot recall the name just now but welcome to our thread

To be fair, even chicken dust can give you pneumonia. People wear hazmat suits handling both chickens and roundup these days. Everything can be toxic in the wrong amounts.

Today my house smells intensely of cookies and pies. :) I've been snacking on the cookies that come out too dark. Two more days till me holiday! I'm thrilled!

Earlier this week I found a local market selling ground ELK for my game pie! Exciting!
