What did you do in the garden today?

Er, not to sound dismissive or rude but...

Can't I just uproot my whole life and move outside of a major city just so I can have a better garden center?

That doesn't sound like a very reasonable statement IMO.

Not that I don't have many more reasons to not move to the countryside (queer girl pagan farmers aren't popular in deep red country, lets be real here), but the above concept alone sounds rather outlandish to me.

I love it.... :lau:lau:lau

Oh! Heart have you been active in the garden thread? Sometimes this moves fast so I mighta missed it. It's always nice to find like minds! If nah welcome to the thread!

Slowly but surely I'm getting better from this dumb stomach flu. D is still home from school sleeping on the couch all day but I have to start being active again so today I'm going to commit to at least doing some serious stretches and a lot more motion cause yesterday I went to just water my basement plants and felt terrible afterwards.

We're getting a lot of eggs again at last.... Time to make a quiche!

Hi fellow growers of things. It's been a looong time--the hurricane kinda kicked everyone's asses and my mom's had a slew of health issues I'm trying to manage long-distance, so I've been off the radar. It's good to see everyone's typing again!

So, my neighbor's dog got my head PRB Cleo because the hurricane knocked down the fence and the posts I used to prop it up fell down. I was sad, but on the other hand, everyone gets along far better now. The newbies from the end of June have been laying since mid-Jan, so I'm getting a bunch of eggs daily and have expanded my small 'customer base'.

I've got snow peas about 3" tall, broccoli, radishes, kale, and cabbage in the raised beds, as well as overwintered leeks, onions, garlic and herbs--lemon balm, flat-leaf parsley, bronze fennel, cilantro, chives and garlic chives and oregano and rosemary. I need to weed the herbs though. And fix the fences, both outer and around the garden. Just got the roof finished, so that's next on the list.

I've been popping in every few days the last couple weeks, but don't keep up with the fast pace terribly well and then go back and reread it all at once when I have time.

Some of my sunchokes have started to sprout
