What did you do in the garden today?

I WAS going to put down more mulch in the garden today and finish attaching the new fence to the rails, but the wind is howling at 35 mph and it's only 50. I can't standing working in the cold wind. Maybe I'll get out there in the afternoon. Maybe I'll wait until Thursday when we're back into the 70s.

The hens are yelling to be let out, but in this wind, they'll just go hide somewhere, so there is no point.

DH took the chainsaw and trimmed off the tall posts from the garden fence build, so that even though we are on a hill, they are all the same height from the top of the fence. It looks quite nice.

Toodling along in the potting shed with new shoots and sprouts.

We’re due for a storm. It’s cloudy & windy and I had on my winter coat this morning.
Gotta feeling we’re going to get hammered it’s supposed to start around noon. :th

I was very ready for nice temps. :(

I brought all my tomatoes and peppers in.
Many wilted. :(:(:(

I have them under the grow lights and raised those as high as possible.
:fl

Planted green beans, beets, and swiss chard. Hoe'd out the weeds and watered. Started margold, zinnia, and pansys i my greenhouse. Started bell peppers, cauliflower, and ailsa craig onions. Started some other stuff but forget what it was! :th
YAY :wee
You go gardener’ :ya

Rainy day and rainy week ahead . Patiently waiting for frost free date . Tomato and bell pepper plants .

Yes solo cups are a cheap pot .

That is one reason I like them.
They also hold enough soil to go from seed to garden without repotting.

For whatever reason my plants seem to do better in them too.
