What did you do in the garden today?

This is a patio container planted peach tree. It has unusual leaf color. Of course it is intended for decorative purposes. It has fruit on it. Size is that of a Large Grape. Do not need to squint to see that one of the peaches is already sampled by my tree mice. :old I know those lil devlz just want to eat:pop.

I have been experimenting with squirrel deterrents. Tried ACV that I brushed on the outside of pots. Did not deter whatsoever. Read that moth balls should,,,,,,,, well the old style may have,, but the new mothballs have been reformulated, and do not have that CLASSIC odor. That odor was supposedly toxic. :idunno
Anyone have any home remedies to deter those squirrels???

Just a heads up. It smells really bad but it doesn’t hurt them. You need to reapply after it rains. Good luck. Personally, I like squirrels as long as they know what is off limits. Good luck!

didn't get into the garden today. We've had so much rain you could actually hear it running through the thatch still today. It's ridiculous. I am not shooting for Saturday. It will be saturday.

Today I spent 7 hours cleaning the barn, stalls, corral, and coop and runs. OMG. A Month with 12 inches of rain. I can't even describe the mess and smells. :sick

The run was the worst under where they sleep outside. (protected) I turned the deep mulch through the whole run down 12 inches deep. The AMMONIA I released doing that! OMG! I then dumped stall sweet on it, and took the roto tiller to it down 8 inches and raked in a whole bale of fine pine shavings. MUCH better! Phew!

I'll worm the girls this week too, so no extra treats while I medicate their food. So they'll be made at me.

The alpacas get sheared, and toes and teeth trimmed, so they'll be mad at me too.

:pop
