What did you do in the garden today?

We did nothing in the garden today we got a freak snow almost 2" but not fun snow wet, yucky, sludgy no snowman snow. But it sat on my collards for most of the day so tomorrow we pick and cook up a nice big pot of greens. My homemade hot vinegar should be at the ready too.
I planted collards for the first time this year. Planted them a little late, so they aren't quite ready yet. Forgot the name of them, but they are very similar to what they call cabbage collards around here. So good!

Anyone greenhouse gardening on here? I just finished building a small lean to one and have tomatoes, parsley, basil, lettuces, and squash growing.

Greenhouse gardener here! I actually just set up a 15 by 6 foot greenhouse today, I'm going to grow lettuces and a few other things in it, defiantly kale, maybe green beans. :)

Must have green beans. If space is at a premium, I recommend pole beans. As a matter of fact, I rarely grow ANY bush beans. They take up way more room, produce way less, and have to be washed after being picked. Pole beans: You don't have to bend over to pick them, and can usually just plop them in the pan to cook without bothering to wash them. Personal favorite: Fortex.

I have tomatoes growing, but it did not occur to me to try squash. What kind are you growing?

I have yellow squash in large container. I've grown bush beans before successfully. I also started potatoes one year in December and harvested in March. I have both a raised bed against the house and then various pots and containers.
