@karenerwin So sorry to hear about mom. Bless her heart. I'm hoping for the best for you all.
UTI's are a bugger in the elderly. My auntie had and was completely confused like she had a stroke. I couldn't get her off of the toilet to the car to take to ER. Had to call paramedics to come help. That happened twice and it came close to killing her a few years back. Antibiotics and lots of fluid- she is right as rain now.

Oh yes..for sure. Not without cost. In our area, selling from "doorstep" gets around $2-3 tops per dozen. We generally give away what we don't eat bc I'm not currently interested in marketing the eggs. However, we ask the friends that receive the eggs to save cartons...but few come our way. I'm running out of cartons! Hopefully we get some from friends soon.

Our feed store only charges .39 for 12 count but bought 18 off amazon great price

I haven’t had chickens since July of 2017 but when I last purchased egg cartons our local feed store was 5/$1 which I didn’t think was bad. I only had 2 girls at that point. So it was mostly for personal consumption.

local stores here charge approx $0.75 per carton (crazy...I can get cheap eggs for that cost). I could get them less in a batch online. But no way I’m buying a huge batch of them.
