Ohhhhh okay. I was gonna say how are your ones from the kit ready for harvesting alreadyNo they're organic ones that were pretty small. The ones from the kit are growing. Probably be about 2-3 weeks before they're that big.
Nice! I forgot to mention our spearmint as well. My winter spinach never made it to harvest, well it was harvested by the silkie chicks. In the future 1x4 wire isn't going to be used just pure chickenwire. We have chives, basil, lettuce variety, parsley, mint, thyme, and squash all growing right now. Everything else should be popping up this week.
Yes! Gobo!! use it a bit for dishes and when making rolls and other stuff. Also use as a decoction .... helpful for many ailments: https://www.thespruce.com/what-is-burdock-1762279Here burdock is a weed I kill . I am aware some eat it . Gobo I think is what the Japanese call it .
Roundup on the sprouts is probably the safest as it works on green tissue . Tordon is a stump killer like the tree trimmers use under power lines but might migrate with rain . You could learn to graft female trees on the sprouts . You do need 1 male tree for pollination .Does anyone know of a way to cheaply rid your property of Fruitless Mulberry Trees? The only sure fire way I know is to wait 35 years so they die of natural causes. I cut one down last year because it was stunting my actual Fruiting Mulberry. I go and weedeat off the 150 or so new shoots every 3-4 months.
I had a thought that possibly using a black tarp over it might be my next move since we average 1300w/square meter here 300+ days out of the year. I don't want to use roundup because those two are too close together along with numerous other reasons.
They make good refrigerator pickles!I never used to like pickles until like last year lol still hate dill and other kinds but am addicted to bread and butter ones![]()
