What did you do in the garden today?

Roundup on the sprouts is probably the safest as it works on green tissue . Tordon is a stump killer like the tree trimmers use under power lines but might migrate with rain . You could learn to graft female trees on the sprouts . You do need 1 male tree for pollination .
Thanks!

Good morning gardeners. Well, we did get warm temps yesterday and today, but now it is pouring. Heavy storms with winds for most of the day. I let the chickens out for about 1 1/2 hours yesterday because they won't be out and about today. I did manage to dig 3 full buckets of compost from one pile yesterday. I put it in the new garden bed. It's so dark from the clouds and rain outside I turned the overhead light on in the sunroom. No outside plans today so laundry and bread making. My HD orders will be delivered tomorrow and Wednesday. I ordered the HC separately since they didn't have it in the store. Thank you for mentioning mint @jerryse and @WthrLady. I need to go through my seeds again, but I'm pretty sure I don't have mint. Not sure about the basil either. I always wait to plant the basil since it is more finicky than pepper plants and really likes it warm. We're expecting frost for a few nights this week, so I'm hoping it warms up a wee bit more next week. I just want to get this stuff planted soon. Cool Spring followed by a hot Summer according to the Old Farmers Almanac. Unfortunately, they are usually pretty good with their forecasts. I guess we should be saving some of this rain for later. LOL! Have a great day everyone.

Long time no talkie, bein busy with the family of 6, did manage to tend my seedlings an do some transplanting to bigger pots an made a window type greenhouse for them. Till our temps turn around here. Hope everyones doin well

It poured last night for 2-3 hours, same thing the night before. Everything is wet. Now the rain is going to hold off for the week, but the temperature is too cold for me until Saturday to get into the garden.

Work is also picking up this week, so I'll be stuck in the home office for most of the daylight hours until Friday, which is looking to be an lighter workload day. I guess that will keep my urge to garden in check and keep me out of the cold, windy weather this week.

Maybe I'm a weirdo, but I never cared much for refrigerator pickles. I can my pickles and let them set for at least 2 weeks before eating. The longer the set, the better they get.
I’ve never bought the deli kind that they keep in the fridge but do put the bread and butter ones in there after I open them haha and I bet!! Probably soaking up all the good juices.
