What did you do in the garden today?

Gorgeous albeit humid today. But I'll take it.
Tried to move the broody to a broody house today, but she's not happy being moved yet, and just wants her hole and eggs in the coop. I'll wait another week.
Today I moved the plants to the front of the house, and into the sun. I'l probably plant Sunday or Monday.

Today is turning on the irrigation system, cleaning the workshop, and adjusting the irrigation on the orchard, and I'll spray the coop for mites again. I'll put more drops on their necks tonight. Between the mice and the mites. OMG. Grrrrr.

Tomorrow will be stormy, so that's a sewing day.

Sunday mowing and planting I think.

I need to clean the water deliver system in the workshop and get it ready for summer. And I need to buy more mouse traps and set them EVERYWHERE!

Welcome @BallsEleven! Curious about the pickled zucchini? I've never done it but have wondered how it was. I do carrots, cauli, jalapeno, green beans, cukes, etc, but never zuch!

@Wee Farmer Sarah did you plant your dahlia tubers? I did mine yesterday. Looks like maybe 4 survived & I tossed 3 or 4 that didn't take the neglect. Weed out the weak, LOL.


What is the bird netting for? For chickens or for garden? I use a couple different kinds for both.

I haven’t planted the dahlias yet, however I checked and they are putting out roots.

Good afternoon gardeners. We went appliance shopping today and I bought a Mexican bird of paradise for the backyard. It has a nice shape and if it grows as well for me as the one out front it'll be a small tree in no time

I cut some parsley and thyme for cold salads (potato & macaroni)

Also cut lettuces and thyme for the bunnies to enjoy.

Sure, they're LG. Lowes has a sale going right now for Memorial Day but it's going for 2 weeks.

The foam is still inside but the washer doesn't have an agitator. Hubs is still hooking them up.
